Guess there's no way around a permit for a 65'. At my previous house I wanted to put up 40' of Rohn secured to the side of house nearest the radio shack. Was way to close to neighbor's to get approval (would not just fall on his property but also house). Initially installed 20' and put a 4 el 2 mtr beam which didn't bother anyone and soon no one noticed it. Left it that way for over month then inserted add'l 10 ft section when neighbor was on vacation. Eventually added another to get to 40'

Subject: [Scan-DC] Tower install
I want to put up a Rohn 25 tower on my property. The county says I can go as high as 65'. I applied for my permit today and got through zoning, well & septic, etc., but they are requiring me to get a Maryland licensed structural engineer to sign off on their requirement of 90 mile an hour winds for 3 seconds. I have all of the Rohn spec.drawings for the foundation, guys, etc., but they will not accept them without a Maryland engineers stamp. Does anyone know an engineer I can hire to help me?
Thanks.

Merlin K3MEJ
