[Scan-DC] who was that?

It was Northwest Airlines Charter Flight 9850, arriving from
Minneapolis St. Paul. It was a 747-200. It left for Eielson AFB in
Alaska today. There is a charter flight into and out of Andrews every
few days. The airlines and aircraft vary in size from 737 on up. I
don't have any idea about the where or why of these flights, given
that BWI is the hub for contract troop flights, I believe.

I thought at first it might be AF1 or one of the planes that serve as AF1, but I could clearly see that the vertical stabilizer ("tail") was bright red - like Northwest Orient Airlines. I couldn't imagine that Bush is having visitors, as he is leaving for Beijing any day now. Was this a retiring Northwest pilot making a final joyride?
