Travis, thanks for the confirmation, yeah, I thought something was up... it crossed my mind that I could use the new BC396 to determine some of this using the tone squelch... I haven't had the radio long enough to really be familiar with that, but as there is another station around here that I wanted to check their PL tone, I think I'll break out the manual and have a read in it before I go to bed.
