And speaking of the KC-135, I got this in an email
yesterday:

 The top Air Force acquisition program is a
replacement for the KC-135.  The oldest KC-135 in the
fleet was delivered to the Air Force on 28 Nov 1957. 
If the program is executed as presently planned
(meaning there are no delays, major program changes,
and the funds are provided by the Congress), the last
KC-135 will retire in 2043.  This is why Gen Moseley
has said (something to the effect of):  "The mother of
the last KC-135 pilot has not yet been born."  If you
