Wow. Dewey, you must be old! ;) (I only know this because _I_ hung out there and I'm old!)

One time when we left there, we turned up the squelch and volume on all the CB radios they had on display, went out, got in my buddy's car (actually it was his mom's Corvair - I told you I was old!), got on the CB and started yelling and cussing.

Those were the days.

How many other old people remember Capitol Radio, Electronic Wholesalers, Empire Electronics, Fairway Electronics, Arlington Electronics, Mark Electronics, Uncle George's...

I worked at Capitol Radio early on in my "career", started there shortly after they moved out to Rockville after being burned out of 14th Street. It still survives as Capitol Cable and Technology out at the Gaithersburg airpark...

And Mark is still around also...

When I worked at Melpar back in the 1980s, I shared an office with a guy who had previously worked in a hobby shop and was into RC cars... he always said that video games killed the hobby industry... put in a quarter, play Pacman, instant gratification.

KQI-0686 clear and thankya!
