[Scan-DC] New unit designators coming for DC area fire units

Doug -

I'm not actively involved with Montgo County anymore, so I don't have the
best info. However, if you scroll down through the entire message you'll
see that Wheaton Rescue would be designated as Station 42, so their squad
would be RS742, their first ambulance would be A742. I think that BCC is
going to be Station 41, so RS 18 would become RS741, RS19 would become
RS741B, etc. In Germantown, using this system, the station is 29 so the
RS291 should become RS729.

I don't know when Montgo actually intends to switch over, but I'm sure
someone on this list will know that.

Thanks Ed, having this email will be a big help... I may have to make up a
cheatsheet tho!

One question, for Mtgy county, how are the BCC and Wheaton RS units going to
work? Ie, if station 12's ambulance is A-712, what is the current BCC
Ambulance 12?

And will Rescue Squad 291 be RS-7291 (as opposed to Wheaton's RS-29 that
might become RS-729?

Whew!

Squad 51 10-4, KMG-365!

:)
