Another common mistake is programming an 800 Mhz trunk as P25 when it really isn't. If the baud rate on the
RRDB says 3600 baud, it's not P25. These should be programmed as a Moto type 2 trunk, and adjust the 
digital audio and AGC accordingly. Programming a 800 Mhz system incorrectly can cause all manner of strange
things...

Okay, I give up!!  A few months ago, I got a Uniden 396T.  I love it--with one expection.  As I'm listening to my scanner, the signal drops during the transmission.  It even occurs while the scanner is on "HOLD".  The only thing I can see is that the signal quality bars disappear.   I have turned off (I think) the batttery save function, and I don't have any priority channels (that I know of).   Could it be the weather alert feature? 

It happens too reguarlly with each tranmission. What am I doing wrong?
