[Scan-DC] Getting bombed in Gaithersburg

Well, no scan content in this one other than that I forgot to take the 
scanner to listen on unicom, but late this afternoon, (heard and) saw the 
B-17 and the B-24 out here at GAI... went down there right before dusk and 
got to see the B-17 take off and land... not too shabby!  Took some pics 
with the digital camera - haven't looked at them but between the 
deteriorating light and little or no frame of reference when the things were 
in the air, I fear the worst - but if any good, will advise here and send 
them to anyone who asks,or post links or something.

Also saw a pair of the F-16s on Fri while on the beltway over near the IAD 
access road at about 1030... pretty good weekend for the aviation buffs... 
my head may be permanently aimed at the sky!

Gee, maybe this should be the scan-dc and scan-dc-skys email list!

Wonder what they said on the radio... "Consolidated Liberator Heavy 
departing GAI runway 32 on unicom 123.075..." would like to have a sound 
byte of that!
