Since the subject changed, I changed the title line...
John and list - when you are ready to add a tap, look here for the exact spot. Go dead center of the circuit board, about 3 inches right then 90 degrees down. There's a point marked 'DISC'. Doug K has seen my 996. I paid $550 for it. The remote head is going to be a
great option. Unfortunately when someone hit my truck they snapped the knobs
and bent the volume shaft. Uniden's repair cost is around $50 bucks which
doesn't seem to bad. I personally do like it. For the True P25 system it
works well. I have yet to add a Descrim tap to it.
