Paul (and all),
I read your second post and it's very interesting. I
received this in a weekly email from Janes Defense:

Cracked wing attachment leads US Customs to ground P-3
fleet
The discovery of a cracked wing attachment structure
has grounded all of the US Customs and Border
Protection (CBP) agency's 16 Lockheed Martin P-3s for
an indefinite period.

Who knows. Maybe the planes were grounded, inspected,
then released.

Since the Airport is outside city limits, the city
police do not typically provide escorts. IIRC, it's
Park Police and Secret Service. BTW, they typically
travel by helo from the airport. They (typically)
only travel by ground in bad weather.

Oscar freq is usually used. BTW, I haven't monitored
those freqs in a long time. Has the USSS/WHCA gone
P-25 or are they still DES? Or, are they using the
380 MHz military trunked band?

Thanks,
-Shawn
