[Scan-DC] 9:54PM EST in suburban MD, Sonic boom or thunder?

Western Maryland, Frederick County, about 2100, long booms...rain hit
about 2115.  I thought sonic booms myself when I first heard them...

Alexandria too. Didn't catch the exact time, but it was raining soon
after.
