The BC 996 and 396 look like good
options when I do get ready to go though. I think it
was the 396 I was reading about yesterday that had 3k
memories. Three thousand! I'm having trouble making
banks to fill the 1k that my Pro 95 does. Maybe that
will change with time. Also kind of daunting as I'm a
Linux user and there are currently no programs written
for interfacing/programming scanners using the Linusx
OS. I use Knoppix and there are some cool ham radio
programs for it but no scanner programmers that I can
find so far.

I am working on banks for air shows in the DC area,
Mil Air monitoring, and local waterways. If anyone has
any freqs that I may not find online please let me
know.
