Hello Dick,
While there are a lot of PS digital signals in your area, the fed and
selected military LMR bands are over run with 1's and 0's. And there is
much more on the way.
I wrote it in one of my recent MT Help Columns, "you can pay now or pay
later, but digital is coming to a scanner near you. And you don't want to be
left out in the cold when you hear that angry digital noise coming out of
the speaker, and you can't decode it."
It makes NO sense to buy a straight analog scanner if you want to monitor
any fed/mil comms or have at least "one" digital PS system in your area you
might be interested in monitoring. Duh huh! Pay the extra and you won't be
disappointed.
Have fun out there, good hunting, and I hope everyone on the SCAN-DC list
has a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and a great New Year.
