In the mid 1200 hour (EDT) CG 6572 (HH-65, CGAS Atlantic City) was trying to 
contact CG Sector Baltimore on 157.15.  After several tries CG 6572 was 
answered by the CG Auxiliary Radio at Severna Park, Md who advised 6572 that Sector 
Baltimore was handling a case on channel 16--they were aware that 6572 was 
trying to contact them and they would contact the helo after they finished with 
their case.  Severna Park offered to relay any traffic for 6572. CG 6572 said 
they would stay with the ATC until they could contact Sector.

Sector Baltimore contacted 6572 about 5 minutes later. CG 6572 reported their 
position as 3851N/7627W on an assigned search. Sector Baltimore advised 6572 
that they had a surface asset enroute to an undisclosed vessel, off of Poplar 
Island, and requested that 6572 proceed to that area to assist the surface 
asset.
