Goto www.staples.com, www.bestbuy.com and look how much packages with
computers and LCD monitors are going for. You may want to think of a BTO
computer if it is in your price range. If you are computer savy see if there
is a computer show in your area or try www.tigerdirect.com I got a
CPU/Motherboard for like 100 bucks.
Good Luck,
JOHN
P.S. If you are really want some answers ask the people who own scanthis.com
of scanboston.com Most of them have like 4 scanners going at once.

Subject: [Scan-DC] Computer Monitors
Folks,
I am in the middle of moving and am doing some pre
planning for setting up my computer/scanner setup at
the new place.
I intend to buy a couple of low end PCs as well as a
good high end PC in the next few months. I know I have
seen some discussion before on certain monitors being
better than others as far as causing interference to
the scannners.
I assume a flat panel LCD is best, but that is just an
assumption from an uneducated dolt. For these low end
PCs I am hoping to get away with not putting out a
oatload of money. But a concern is the displays
causing me any unwanted interference to the scanners.
Could anyone offer up some comment and possibly point
me to a link or 2 that touches on the subject? I am in
the process of setting myself up with a much better
setup than before and want to research and discuss
certain aspects of it prior to getting serious about
putting money down.
Thanks a heap.
Jeff Smith
