Hi all,
While sorting through all my radio-related paper, I found my scanner
logs from last year's March for Life, a large yearly demonstration in
the DC area. This year's event will be held Monday, so I figured I'd
post them in case anyone was interested in scanning it this year.
I marked the following itinerants as "interesting" in that they didn't
sound like normal local business traffic and may have been the official
March for Life operations frequency. One of them is, (my guess is
154.570 in simplex) but unfortunately I didn't write down which was
which:
154.5700 - Unknown user, possibly March for Life operations
464.5000 - Unknown, possibly March operations or photographers
464.5500 - Unknown
467.7625 - Unknown
467.9000 - "Control"
467.9250 - Unknown
EWTN (a nationwide Catholic cable station) covers the event live with
multiple cameras. Camera operators are directed on 457.575.
Nonstop talk on FRS from demonstrators. Metrorail frequencies were very
active due to heavy crowds, particularly the Red Line. With many large
groups being bused in, bus company frequencies should be active, too.
