[Scan-DC] Practice flyover

Gentlemen -- I went down there to catch the action. Caught the prime
parking space at Lady Bird Johnson parking area (all six spaces!) just about
100 yards West of the Service Monument. I got there way too early -- about
10:45 -- most folks didn't show up till 11:45 and the 'show' started very
soon after that. It was COLD. The flight path was East to West along the
river. I caught the F-16's -- three groups of two, I believe, the CG
Harrier -- with that big orange stripe it stood out like a sore thumb, the
B-2 (first time I've seen one in flight -- gosh, it looks small) and the
missing-man formation! The solo guy in the formation seemed to pull out WAY
too soon -- by the time the flight was past the Jefferson Memorial he was
way up in altitude. If they had scorers watching the practice they'll have
that team do it again, and have the guy (maybe it wasn't a guy) hang in
there another second or so. The thrill of that formation (to ME) is seeing
the solo pull up and soar away into the heavens. All anybody on the Ellipse
would see is three planes in fingers-four echelon with the ring finger slot
empty! A combination of Mother Nature screaming my name and the freezing
cold forced me to pull out very soon after the M-M formation fly-by. Glad I
finally saw a B-2 in the air. Wish I HAD taken the scanner -- I chose the
binocs, instead. Vic

Subject: [Scan-DC] Practice flyover

If the practice flyover is taking place as I write this (12:02), here's
what has been noted so far...

127.275 chit chat, usually this freq is DC ANG
139.9 new callsign 'Trigger 32' reporting fuel flow problems, some other
comms here. SOF called here, so might be new ANG SOF freq
303.0 midair refuel also talking about fuel pump problems, going lower
seemed to solve it
351.8 a few checkins reading off altitudes and wx; DC ANG SOF listed

Some other weaker comms noted, but unsure if they were related to this
exercise, on 358.85 (Langley, Banyon calls noted in the past here).

More if warranted. Additional freqs requested
