Fairfax County's system. They have been linking pmars and sirs to their

a long time though the audio on those is barely inteligible. I've
always joked
that the pmars/sirs links were done with "Kenwoods and clip leads".
That's probably not
far from the truth judging by the audio.
The most obvious interop problem is MPD on 460 but honestly, would it
make any difference
if their radios could talk to everyone else?
Hopefully there will be a coordination command post somewhere downtown
that will bridge the gap between those that can't talk
directly. There is also the possibility of loaning out radios from one
system to supervisors/special teams from other
jurisdictions. I think that is what happened in 2001.
