[Scan-DC] I'm back! Programming BC 796?

Greetings all,

I'm back - had previously subscribed to scan-dc in anticipation of 
Montgomery County's Grande Transitione To 800 Megcycles Per Seconde... left 
the list last summer when I went on vacation and finally have time now to 
resubscribe.

I need a great deal of help!  Have just bitten the bullet and purchased a 
Uniden BC 796 D Apco 25 scanner... I've read several descriptions of trunked 
radio and don't understand it, and I have no idea how to program this radio!

Tonight's project is to go back through some of the old emails that I've 
saved from this list, and also through the archives, to see if I can find 
anything that will help.

Any guidance or words of wisdom would be appreciated... I have to admit that 
really all I want to do is hear what's going on, and I'm not really all that 
interested in the theory of how all this stuff works.
