[Scan-DC] RE: LMR Trunk Freqs

 From what I just read,via the supplied link,....

"The digital system supports P25 trunking standard features and DES 
encryption for secure communications. This system will operate using DoD 
UHF spectrum in the
380–399.9 MHz frequency range. Additionally, the system meets the NTIA 
Narrowband mandate and the guidelines....

The only thing the monitor will be logging is frequencies & not any type of 
voice traffic.
That sound's like a lot'a fun.Look's like uhf/vhf utes is going the way of 
hf utes.Alot of buzzing & other odd *noise*.I've got some high-dollar 
decoders that I was dumb enough to buy when I believed the adverts.They are 
real nice pgm's....too bad they are worthless for decoding today's utes.

God,I just thought of something,what if my good'ol wx freqs go to this new 
system!?!

Just kidding.Then again,knowing the govt's paranoia,I'm sure someone will 
want to do it.
