This is a common problem with MPD. You need to make sure the Custom Table option in enabled. 

With the P96 in your MPD scan bank. Hit PGM TRUNK, then FUNC 3, down arrow until you see TABLE, hit ENTER.

Or...

In Win 96 enable Custom Table in the MOT 3600 CC section of your MPD scan bank data sheet.

Btw make sure these are set (FUNC 2 after hitting PGM Trunk)
BASE FREQ: 458.77500
OFFSET: 380
STEP: 12.5

I have now tried 3 different files using different banks and I still get
nothing from Metropolitan Police (DC).   Something has changed since it went
in for repair and I have no clue.  It simply went in to fix the volume
control problem I was having.   

I want to take it back to RS but have no clue what to tell them to look for?
Certain frequencies?  

Anyone have any ideas??
