Yes, but....
Remember the mission of AWACS.  Their primary concern
is Air Traffic Control and early warning of
approaching airborne threats.  We hear the "back end"
crew talking to the fighters their in control.
I'm sure the "front end" crew has color radar to avoid
WX.  Passing WX info between the front end and back
end for the entire Area of Responsibility (AOR), would
tie up a lot of time on the intercom.
