[Scan-DC] Park Police attempt to coordinate with FCPD

Yesterday there was a report on the main Park Police Channel [166.925]
of a man with a rifle at Great Falls Park.   One of the Officers wanted
FCPD contacted since the person might be headed for River Bend park.
For about 10 minutes dispatch kept reporting that he was unable to make
the phone connection to FCPD.   Boy have things improved since 9/11

I was in the car or I would have reported it while it was happening
cause it was fairly interesting.  They shut-down the park then started
running the tags of the cars in the parking lot.  The description of one
of the owners of one of the cars [actually a van] fit the description of
the person for whom they were looking.   They did a lot of safety
coordination and were fairly ready when the van tried to leave the park.
After blocking it in, they searched it and found a rifle.  Later they
reported it was an air rifle.
