AL,
I totally agree judging form the past 2 days of doing this. The BC780 isn't
worth a "FART IN A WINDSTORM" compared to these other 2. I am hoping when I
pick the best of the 3 and compare tit to the BC-250, that the BC-250 will
be the overall best performer. I am hopeful but not very optimistic. I am
hopeful because I own three of them and would simply love to find out they
are the best MILAIR rigs I have.
Either way it goes. I am on the market for another MILAIR rig. The BC895 and
the AR8200 MKIII are currently under consideration with the MKIII being the
primary. The 895 looks great but not getting 138-144 in AM mode is a big
problem with me. Plus the AR8200 MKIII has lots of really cool buttons and
bells and whistles. Does anybody else on this list own an MK III? I'd love
to hear your thoughts on it. I'd also love to hear any thoughts on the 895,
especially thoughts of intermod rejection. I know it is a great MILIAR rig,
fast as heck, but am concerned about the intermod problem.
