Hi Doug,

Funny story about this. There are 2 whetstone drives in the Gaithersburg area. There is the one where the fire was in the Montgomery Village. I belive this house actually faces lake whetsone - is that correct? So the fire could be seen from Montgomery Village ave? At any rate the 2nd Whetstone Drive is an Apartment complex that is close to the intersection of Rt 355 and Odenhal - a bit of a distance from the actual call. Usually the way we tell the difference when the call goes out is that one will be single digits and list an apartment number and the other will be 4 digits and no apartment number.

Anyway - the funny part is that I was listening to the Gaithersburg City Police Channel 154.060 and they were talking about a piece of fire appartatus that showed up to the wrong location and he was giving them directions to where the actual fire was. They were hearing on their fire radio that there was fire showing yet they were in a neighborhood by themselves with no fire present. Very comical.
