NORAD To Run Training Flights Over D.C.

Washington (AP) - When you see fighter jets flying low over the D.C. area
the next two days, don't panic. It's just exercise training.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command - NORAD - will run the training
flights Wednesday and Thursday. You may see fighter jets and other aircraft
along the Potomac River, as well as other parts of the region. You may also
hear extra noise from the planes.

NORAD has done these exercises a number of other times since the September
11, 2001, attacks.
