Well here is the thing. Most people dont want to spend the money to buy 800
radios if most everyone around them uses VHF. I know up where I live
(Ma/RI/CT line) 99.9% of RI is VHF, Most of the lower half of Worcester
Cnty. uses Low Band or VHF and the areas of CT that cover the border of
Ma,RI use Low Band or VHF. How often do most FD or PD go more than 3
towns/Citys away from where they are based except for county PD/FD.  RI uses
154.28 (RI FD Intercity) and PD has the same kinda system.
