Jake,
I assume by the way you worded your email you are talking about =
"searching"
that range. Or maybe you are talking about scanning and the NDW system =
just
interferes with your programmed freqs. I am a little unclear of your
meaning, but figured I would throw my comments at you anyway. We might =
be
talking apples and oranges here, I am not sure.
=20
Speaking for myself, I have my head stuck in MILIAR for the time being. =
The
way things are going I will probably be doing everything in AM mode for =
a
long time to come.
Currently I am working 138-144 in AM mode. And yes, it's a pain. My =
search
scanner hits quite a few freqs that are in FM mode but the scanner hits =
them
anyway of course. Last year I had set out to attempt to ID alot of these =
but
soon realized it was gonna be a pain as I am down here in St. Mary's =
County.
So I gave up on attempting to work the FM stuff from up that direction.=20
The way I go about it now, If the search scanner hits it in AM I record
audio on the freq for a while. If after say 10-15 days all I get is
suspected traffic in FM mode. I lock it out.
The good thing is that I am keeping track of all of these locked out
frequencies like this, so one day in the distant future I can pull this =
list
out and possibly have another stab at it with the better antenna setup, =
and
can probably start dedicating trunkers to this as well. Gonna be awhile
though.
Take it easy,
Jeff=20
