Nah, postal addresses are full of "mistakes" -- what's convenient for
USPS doesn't have anything to do in a lot of cases with the actual
geographic details. I live in Oakland, CA and my postal address is
Berkeley, CA.
Postal addresses are NOT legal property descriptions.
In the case that you're talking about, the only part of "Washington, DC
20001-6000" that matters to USPS is "20001-6000" ... the rest could say
"North Pole, World" and it would still get delivered to the right place.
Well, you get what I mean :-)
