I have a problem.I am getting alot of intermod from FM radio,Tv ch13,11,and
2.(TV Hill in Baltimore)The antenna that i have is a create log
periodic(50-1300mhz)The question is to get rid of the intermod do i get
filters or would another log periodic that works let say 100-1300mhz work
better?I know that 100-1300 will not help on TV ch's 13&11But will it help
my TV ch2 and FM problem?

Changing the log periodic's frequency response isn't the answer; and
getting a filter is only part of the answer. The whole truth is that it
sounds like that antenna is simply too much for the scanner you're using to
handle. Most consumer grade scanners can't handle the kind of RF you will
deliver to a front end, particularly if you're in an urban area. In this
case, less is more!

Attenuation would help somewhat, but it would reduce the sensitivity of
the antenna on other freqs, too.

I'd love to take that antenna off your hands, but my condo association
would frown on it :.)) 73s Mike
