[Scan-DC] [MilCom] USCGC Smilax in Baltimore, 27 Jan

Freq: 156.8 MHz & 157.150 NFM

In the late 0900 hour EST USCGC Smilax (WLIC-315, Brunswick GA) was active 
with CG Activities Baltimore. They were departing the Curtis Bay Shipyard for 
engine trials in the local area. They were concerned about the ice in the 
Baltimore Harbor area.

The Smilax indicated that if the engine trials were satisfactory, they would 
conduct "sea trials" in the Lower Chesapeake Bay on Thursday or Friday then 
hopefully be headed back home by the weekend.
