I have one in my hands right here. RS part number is 19-1120/19-1140 (the
power adapter has the same part number as the HT). Input power is 6 watts
for 60 Hz 120 volts AC. Output specs are 12 volts DC, 200 mA, with a
positive tip. The barrel connector is the most commonly seen size. I'm
guessing it's Adaptaplug size "M", 5.5 mm OD, and 2.1 mm ID. The manual
says the recharge time is 10 hours.
I find suitable power adapters incessantly at yard sales and rummage
sales and while scavenging trash piles, as they are used with cordless
phones and answering machines. You may be able to take one from an AT&T
or Panasonic answering machine or phone, for example. Have you tried a
thrift store? Power adpaters show up there too. If you would rather have
a new one, Target or Wal*Mart would surely have one.
When you think about it, the adapter's output current is not critical.
Let's say you were to use an adapter that could source, for example, only
60 mA at 12 volts. That's OK, because even though it would take longer to
charge the battery pack, it would still work, wouldn't it?
So what's the story? Have you owned an HTX-202 for some time, and the
adapter went bad? Or, did you just buy an HTX-202, and the adapter wasn't
with it?
I have the owner's manual, complete with schematic, right in front of me.
HTH, from an HTX-202 owner.
