I visited the Air & Space's Udvar-Hazy Center out at Dulles on Monday.
I was impressed--I think I like it better than the museum on the Mall.
(And they weren't collecting the $12 parking fee on opening day--not
sure if they're still not; you may want to head over there before they
start.) Anyway, the Center is using an LTR PassPort system for
operations (some of the museums on the Mall have switched to PassPort as
well). There is a private security company at the Center, and they are
using at least two UHF frequencies. I believe both were simplex.
Because the Center is on Dulles Airport property, there was a large
Airports Authority (MWAA) police presence. They were using talkgroup
1904 on the MWAA trunked system. See the Loudoun County page for the
details:

By the way, the Center has an observation tower which is supposed to
provide great views of aircraft operations at Dulles. I didn't get a
chance to check it out. The added height of the tower would probably
make for good scanning as well.
Someone come out with a PassPort scanner! (I know they're working on a
software solution at trunkedradio.net.)
