Zane,

Your new Pro96 is not exactly pre-programmed to receive MoCo out of the box.
The pre-programming from the factory is the fact that there are 11 V-scanner
folders that have frequencies pre-programmed in them for the most popular
systems in the US. In order to use this pre-programmed data, you must load
the proper V-scanner folder into the active memory.

The process for loading a V-scanner folder into active memory is described
beginning on page 77 of the manual. The procedures are also repeated in the
Addendum to the product manual, which also contains a list of all of the
systems that should be preprogrammed in your radio. MD-VA-DC area systems
should be in V-scanner folder #6.

The programming cable and Win96 are well worth the investment for
programming additional info into your Pro96.

Randy

Just got a pro-96 and at first glance it seems to be allot to figure out. I
have seen several posts saying its pre programmed with Montgomery co. but
that does not seem to be the case. It does have searchable frequency ranges
that receive channels but nothing grouped or identified as a particular
police district as far as I can tell. I will sit down tonight and see what I
can figure out but it is confusing and a bit disappointing at first glance.
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Also anyone know anything about D.C. encrypting? That would be very sad news
for me. Zane
