     Cliff, you need to get a programming cable, then download a copy of 
Win96, Don Starr's software.  I don't have one (yet) but I think the V 
Scanner folders have both areas already preinstalled.

    And to educate you in the many things people are finding out about the 
96; there are several Yahoo groups devoted to this handheld, a very active 
message board on Strong Signals *and* a web page dedicated to it.  You can
