At about 6:40 pm local...had two F-16s making about eight noisy passes at
lower altitudes over northern Fairfax County. Seen from Tysons Corner,
they went out toward Dulles and then reversed. Did it several times,
almost like they were conducting a grid search. Altitudes varied but were
as low as about 3,000 feet. I have, I think, all of the CAP freqs loaded
but did not hear them on those freqs or on Washington Center or the Dulles
apr/dep/twr freqs.
