Is it apparent to anyone else listening in to the EMS comms on the new ASTRO
system that there are no hospital status' being given out over the air?  I
say this because I've been monitoring an excessive amount of EMS units
contacting the various area hospitals directly with transport information
only to find out the hospital is on Yellow or Red alert.  So, I suppose my
questions is where are these units supposed to get their hospital status
updates?  Is it the MVC's?  If so, they sure don't seem like they're
operating as they should.  Anyone else have any idea's on this?  Maybe a
training issue?  Not sure but it seems like these MVC's aren't operating as
they should.  There's always multiple units on the air who mention that
their's isn't working, so they're communicating status verbally.
