The City of Philadelphia's "South Medic Band" was on 170.150 MHz. This
frequency is still currently licensed by the City, but is no longer used. In
fact, all the VHF (fire/ems) and UHF (police) frequencies previously used by
Philadelphia have been replaced by the new digital trunked system that went on
line last year. Just recently, most of the City's licenses have been updated
to show a secondary authorization on their old VHF and UHF channels (instead of
cancelling the licenses entirely). So, no more ducting on that frequency.
