Hopefully they will keep the simulcasts up until the new Radio Shack =
PRO-96
is out. Looks like a much better scanner than the Uniden.

Montgomery police channels 1-5 will continue to be simulcast on UHF, but
ONLY until all police cruisers have been changed over to 800 mHz radios.
(No estimate on how long that will take). Once all units are converted =
all
UHF simulcasts will be discontinued.  Also, at the changeover time on =
7/20
the MCPD Gaithersburg district, (the new District 6), will receive its =
own
800 mHz talk channel.  (Gaithersburg currently shares UHF channel 5 with
Germantown).  That means District 6 calls will not be heard on UHF after
0635 on 7/20. =20
