Well said Jack,

The hobby is not about making a profit.  In my 35 years
or so of scanner listening I have never heard of
anything like this (other than some older shortwave
broadcasting that were historical in nature).  A am
apalled that anyone would want to sell this to his
fellow scanner buffs.

Now that we have the publics attention, I would not be
surprised if newer legislation to restrict listening
will be attempted either at the local level or higher.
