[Scan-DC] Potomac Harbor Units

At about 4:20 PM this afternoon I was crossing the Potomac on board a
VRE commuter train and observed a police vessel under the 14th street
bridge near the Pentagon side of the river. The boat was moving slowly
as if conducting an inspection. The boat was a "go-fast", about 15' in
length with twin outboard engines and had a single officer at the helm.
There was no pilot house of any kind. The officer was wearing a light
blue polo shirt with only the word "POLICE" on his back. No other
markings were observed.

Question for the group: What units, if any, other than MPD actively
patrol the Potomac in the DC vicinity? Does Bureau of Customs and
Border Protection (BCBP-former Customs), Park Police, or any other
federal agency have a maritime security mission up here?

And, what are the operating channels/frequencies.

Also observed a USCG buoy tender heading north bound on the river
adjacent to Quantico MCAF this morning but couldn't see him this afternoon.

Thanks.
