Both yesterday and today I had recorded audio that was l & C on 225 Mhz of
Waterbug 204 calling and working with NORFOLK. I have posted some info
before on usage of this freq and created several threads regarding the fact
that the freq is actually a HAM freq. Some folks are surprised to hear that
Military Aircraft are being heard on this freq and tell me that I am
probably picking up something bleeding over from 225.5 or above. I doubt
this is the case as I have attenuated the freq and also pick it up on 2
different radios.
Anyway, would anyone have any comments on their experience with Military
Comms on 225 Mhz? Also is there anybody in the mid Atlantic region that can
tell me who/what the freq is and what it is used for?
Thanks,
Jeff Smith
