I add that the 'improved audio quality' to be found in digital comms *is* a
matter of certainty, *if* taken in the right context (no I don't sell
cell-phones). A digital receiver only needs to distinguish the '1's and
0's' from the noise floor, and can then produce
audio/video/data/fax/whatever w/o static/interferance (at a quality
commenserate with the equipment). Instead of losing audio quality as you
approach threshold, you basically either get it, or you don't (and you will
'get it' at an improvement over analog)..
If by 'packet loss' David meant that it seemed to rapidly drop in and out, I
suggest addressing a hearability issue.
For Eco's 'mouth-full in a trash can' audio... I reccomend a 12-pack of Sam
Adams.
