Yeah, but the names change. There's no more Conrail, no more Southern
Pacific, no more Santa Fe,... Conrail was divvied up by NS and CSX, so
you would want to know who owns the line where you're trying to listen to
trains, particularly in the case of a town that is on both an NS and a
CSX line. You would know whether you wanted to be on the lookout for a
train on the north side of town or on the south side of town.
