[Scan-DC] e-mail posting problems

A couple list members have asked why their messages never appeared or are
posted late on Scan-DC. Sometimes the answer is simple, but often, I am not
certain either.
Some quick pointers:
Please disable all attachments and try to use plain text. Although QTH.net
filters HTML, I still see a couple messages a week that are rejected for
these reasons.
The e-mail address you use to post to the list must match the e-mail address
where you receive the list's messages. If you wish to post from more than
one e-mail address, try adding both e-mails, and set one to nomail (I think
that will work).
Please keep in mind that every message on Scan-DC goes to more than 500
members (the largest regional scanning list in the area). So please keep
your colleagues' mailboxes in mind when posting.
To experiment with various postings or message formats, try QTH's test list:
http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/test
Should you find Scan-DC to be too overwhelming, consider the digest option
which collects individual postings until it reaches 30K. At that point,
MailMan sends out one message with all of those past postings. Digest
members can post to the list as well.
Please e-mail me if you have any problems.

Subject: [QSL-Net] FYI
We are now rejecting about 35 messages daily using the filtering scheme I've
set up. The vast majority are worm generated messages with executable
attachments (.exe .scr etc) and the Nigerian Scam.
Note that there are significant delays in delivering mail to Netcom and
Earthlink. Hopefully they will resolve this soon.
