Hee hee. No, it happened right in downtown Brunswick. No MARC ops
affected. BTW, I happened to catch a glance at the truck tonite when I went
in, it was a 24 ft box from a chemical company. The "rest of the story",
from the officer on scene, is that the driver of said truck got lost, and
stopped to get directions. He was hauling various chemicals, including
paint thinner that some type of hardner had been added to. The 50 gal drum
chose that moment to erupt its contents, spraying thinner and paint out the
top of the truck. The top was peeled back like something out of a movie,
but the truck was driveable, I saw it drive away. The only injury was to
the driver, who was splattered with the stuff, he was deconned and drove the
truck away. The lid to the can was found about 1000 feet away, in an
ajoining alley. Couple of houses evac'd, but residents allowed to return
about 615pm or so.

...and that's the way it was....
