I'm new here, joined about a week ago and have been "lurking".  Lots of
interesting traffic here.  I live in Montgomery County and joined to keep
abreast of their upcoming (maybe) conversion to 800 meg.

My girlfriend works for MNCPPC (Park and Planning Commission) in Upper
Marlboro, and in the past she had mentioned to me that the Commission owns
the land on which the USScare Arena is built.  I just called her and she's
going to try to find out more about this demolition - she did say that just
today, one of her co-workers asked the rest of them if they had noticed that
the place had been gutted.

Looks like it could be true - I'll try and find out more and post here...
would love to see it if they're gonna kaboom it, rather than just
bulldoze...
