Now this is getting interesting.

At roughly about 2230hrs, I heard AACo. Fire Dispatch put out a call for
"something that fell from the sky". That was the verbatim dispatch term
used to describe the nature of the incident. The call was dispatched for
the area around Rt 295 and 32. (Isn't that near you Ron??) An engine and
ambo were dispatched and a chief in the area responded for additional
assistance in the SB lanes of 295. Nothing was found and the call was
determined to be unfounded and units went back into service shortly after a
brief investigation. Several minutes later I heard fire dispatch advising in
service units that the event was seen from an industrial park near the
interchange. I heard nothing further after that remark.

Maybe a small meteor struck the ground? No fire b/c of the snow on the
ground?

I'd be interested in following this story, as obviously something happened,
a few people saw it, but nothing was found.

Apparently the FD only received 1 call on it from a citizen.

Ron any MILCOM transmissions heard?
