Hi Folks,

Possibly one of the only good things about being a laid-off I.T. worker is
the amount of time I have on my hands to sit around and investigate these
things.

I've just sat thru the past 3 to 4 hours with Trunker on the laptop, the 895
next to it and the Pro-2006 powering the data channel. It appears that this
is a very busy system to say the least. I managed to "match" up the major
channels on the conventional system with what appears to be their simulcast
going on on the new Digital TRS. Here are my results:

SysID: 743e

Type II ASTRO Networked 116.3 Connect

TT ID: Simulcast:
Current Frequency Assignment:

3344 Fire Dispatch (NO ALERT TONES) 154.1600
14736 Police-Rockville District
494.7125
14832 Police-Bethesda District 494.8625
14928 Police-Silver Spring/Burtonsville District 494.9125 (SS)
/495.4125 (Burtonsville)
15024 Police-Wheaton/Olney District 495.3125
????? Police-Germantown/Poolsville 495.3375
16976 Police-MDNCPPC Park PD 151.2800

This listing is by no means officially confirmed and not scientific in
nature. As I stated above, I've just been monitoring Trunker's Data Output
and comparing it to the activity on the conventional system. It does appear
that the system suffer's from the 1/2 second DIGITAL DELAY associated with
such transmissions or my Trunker's just a bit slow to display the Group ID.
I hope this informatin will assist with the soon to be released APCO-25
scanners.

Corrections and suggestions are always welcome.

Andy
