[Scan-DC] DEA Surveillance Op, 7 Nov 02

All,

In the mid 1300 hour (EST) caught a DEA surveillance operation in progress on 
418.675 (no PL). 

There appeared to be an airborne unit (Flint 06, probably a helo) involved as 
well a ground mobile unit (not heard on this freq) shadowing a suspect 
vehicle. The helo was apparently in a fairly high altitude, covert mode since 
he had to use ground based landmarks (school buses, tractor-trailer rigs) to 
maintain visual connection with both the suspect vehicle and the trailing 
ground unit.

There were several mentions of the "beltway" during the operation but I 
couldn't tell if it was the Washington or Baltimore beltway.
